The latest release from the Audionics label is out now. This CD titled "Let Me Be The One – Behind Closed Doors" contains home demos recorded in April 1974, November 1973 and 1960. Completely new songs recorded by Elvis are hard to find and Audionics is proud to include a completely unreleased set recorded in April 1974 in Palm Springs, CA.

Elvis’ duets rendition with the group Voice of the song "Let Me Be The One" is somewhat spicy to say the least but nonetheless entertaining, all his energy was saved for a great finale that is almost worth the price of the CD by itself. This incredible rarity is followed with the complete November 1973 home demos recorded at Sam Thompson’s house in Memphis, and for the first time ever complete in such excellent quality.
Finally we move back to California thirteen years earlier with Elvis on piano in the privacy of his house on Monovale Drive in Beverly Hills. This time Elvis is surrounded by Nancy Sharp and Red West. Within this intimate setting you are treated with the complete unedited home demos recorded that day, featuring for the very first time a good portion in stereo * ( they have use two microphones ) and best ever sound quality.
This new Audionics production will be presented in a standard jewel case with a 32 page booklet, and accompanying photographs taken during these years or close to them.

Okay I ordered mine, although I know most of the stuff on this release just like everybody else. Let me be the one is a medley of cursing and swearing and the stereo-trick that all the new labels (which all of a sudden seem to have an access to all first generation tapes) are pulling off is an aspect fans/collectors must be cautious of now and in the future..

Since it is a home recording from 1974, could this song be a contender for the next FTD cd?????
There is so much negativity from members on this site, read the reviews and then either buy it or let it pass you by, nobody forces you to buy anything some of these labels including fort baxter, Madison and Audionics to name a few have brought out some quality releases give your opinion by all means but listen or view it first,it's like the old saying you can't judge a book by it's cover.I like to read most of the reviews on this site from the press release and comments from people who have actually gone out and made a purchase and this does somewhat influence me in what I purchase but to rubbish something before It as left the press is not helpful to anyone.P.S I have ordered this one!
roytcbintheuk if you have enough money to bath in it's okay. Then go ahead a try out everything. But keep in mind: The latest releases of this label have all become useless within four week after their release. Either by far superior free downloads or by FTD. I've ordered mine, too. But it's wrong to call people "negative" while they try to find out if CDs like this are worth spending their monthly Elvis-budged. There's so much crap out. 95 % of the titles on this CD are already well known. And some people have to think/discuss about what they can afford.
Santa Claus, with all respect IOU, but I think you missed roytcbintheuk's point here ! The guy IS trying to get some information via reviews, so he's careful with his money ! He only states that some people condemn certain releases before they even heard them. Your statement that there is a lot of crap out in correct though . Always El.
Roy and benny, you are right about the negativity. By most accounts, Audionics has become a trusted label not unlike Madison: great photos, liner notes and content. It's an insult to throw around the word "crap" so brazenly.
And it is a new song after all. For those who can scratch together the funds for the real items (always superior in an overall sense) instead a download, you know that being an Elvis Collector means patiently choosing the best titles..and saving up for those you can't get right now or swapping for it when you can.
I just heard the song. You can hear Elvis talk a little until he starts playing piano and Voice sings the song. In the middle Elvis joins in clearly and messes up most of the song with amateurish bass inserts like we know it from other homerecordings. O.k. sometimes you can hear him very good in front of Voice because he is very close to the microphone. There are a handful of good lines between his laughing and off-tune bass parts. He seems to enjoy what he's doing, having lots of fun. And if you sit on the bottom of the barrel .. yes, some enthusiasts could call it a 'new Elvis song'.
Many fans need to get a grip on whats important,if someone does not like something,who cares? i find the real negative vibe in many who dont like people who dont like everything,im not interested in this,its not a studio cut,all of Elvis best stuff is out there,enjoy it!
As for the cursing,many think that it shows there boy was a man,i find it just annoying,but if its your thing, then enjoy!
I`d rather buy this one than a SB we already had with a 80 page book...
I would love to order a copy if I knew where to get it. There is never a mention of how one can order any of these CD's or DVD's. That would be a nice addition to the review. Otherwise, we are forced to hunt for the materials.
To me, this is an important release. It gives us at least one new song, unlike for example the 3CD set "Memories" which is sold by QVC. I think that releases like this one, might keep RCA more on their toes to release more new stuff through FTD. Even if FTD needs a minor tuneup, as bootleggers often are one step ahead. I'd rather spend my money on this CD, than on five compilations with songs I already have on hundreds of CDs.
