Well the cover photo, Elvis on tour in 1972, really goes with the Paris content!

Translation of the title : "The Day Elvis Sang In Paris" !!!??? Probably at the cabaret Moulin Rouge, backstage after seeing the show while he was on leave ! Can't imagine what the author has in the can to fill a complete book.Wrong picture indeed ! Always El.

It is a strange cover design considering the contents are centred around one event many years before the picture was taken. Maybe there is some method in the madness, but I doubt it.

It could very well be about when Elvis had a jam session with the legendary The Golden Gate Quartet at Cafe de Paris during his his 5 day army leave in January 1960. This historic jam session took place with Elvis and The Gates singing gospel and spiritual songs throughout the night until 6 a.m. - Elvis was in his element singing his first love in music. Unfortunately, this jam session has never been properly documented as there was no cameras nor audio equipment. This historic jam session, in my humble opinion, was just as historic as when the Elvis jammed with the Beatles - maybe more so!!

It was in 1972, an "Agency" in Paris, France had signed with William Morris for 2 concerts at " Parc des Princes", even a daily newspaper "France-Soir" has talked during 2 months. At the end, Colonel cancelled it because they 're not contacted him first.
