Last Train To Memphis - The Movie

March 16, 2011 | Other

It has been confirmed in The Financial Times that Simon Fuller of XIX Entertainment is financing a movie based on Elvis' rise to fame to be made by Sony Pictures Entertainment, probably based on Peter Guralnick's 'Last Train To Memphis'. Will be interesting to see how this one pans out. The main problem is getting someone to portray Elvis. It's uncertain at this point if XIX plans a TV only production or one for the regular film circuit.

I hope Shawn Klush or Bouke will potray Elvis. They will be very convincing because they do not only act like Elvis but even think they're Elvis..

If they're serious, I can't see them selecting an Elvis impersonator and nor should they. It's going to be a difficult decision.

I hope it's a movie for theaters...as long as they take there time and pick a quality cast with name recognition.I want this to be along the lines of "Ray" and "I Walk the Line"...
