Elton John has notched up another number one - in the bling charts - topping a dazzling poll of the most "bling bling" stars of all time.
His spending habits and outrageous stage costumes and jewels have given him more bling than some of the most extravagant music stars, including rappers P Diddy and 50 Cent, and flamboyant pianist Liberace.
The word "bling" describes the hip-hop music style of wearing outrageous jewellery - but older celebrities outshone their young rivals in the survey of 6,000 people.
Liberace, who came third, was known for wearing diamond-encrusted stage costumes and his lavish lifestyle decades before hip-hop.
Another golden oldie, Elvis Presley, pipped tough guy rapper 50 Cent to fourth place in the list. Presley was legendary for his love of huge gold rings, pendants and jewel-studded jumpsuits - and gave Cadillacs to friends and strangers alike.
The rest of the top 10 was completed by veteran actress Elizabeth Taylor, soul singer Beyonce Knowles, Mr T of A Team fame and 76-year-old TV and radio star Sir Jimmy Saville.
The survey was conducted by new shopping TV channel Chase-it.tv. A spokesman for the channel said: "Stars like Liberace and Elvis were bling bling decades before the term was even invented.
