Keep The Fire Burning

March 02, 2005 | Music
The Audionics label, which released "El Goes El Paso" last January, will soon release another new soundboard CD, titled "Keep The Fire Burning". This release will contain a previously unreleased soundboard recording of Elvis' tour closing show in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on May 7th, 1975. The concert is 60 minutes long and the recording is complete and unedited, which is rare for Elvis 1975 soundboard tapes.

Like "El Goes El Paso", this CD includes a 12-page full color booklet with several various and unusual photographs taken during April/May 1975 tour, as well as informative linernotes. Elvis was in good voice and in a great mood that night, as is evidenced by his humorous remarks and his excellent performance. One of the highlights is a dynamite version of "Burning Love", and for the 'one-liner freaks' amongst you there's a one-liner of "Alfie". "Keep The Fire Burning" is set for release in March.

Tracks:
01. Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001 Theme) - 02. C. C. Rider - 03. I Got A Woman / Amen (medley) - 04. Love Me - 05. If You Love Me (Let Me Know) - 06. Love Me Tender - 07. All Shook Up - 08. (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel (medley) - 09. The Wonder Of You - 10. Burning Love - 11. Band Introductions - 12. Johnny B. Goode - 13. Drums Solo (Ronnie Tutt) - 14. I will buy this one anyway. But I am waiting for a soundboard from his july 1975 tour for years now. Will it ever come ? He did some fantastic shows in Ashville and Norfolk.

Excuse my ignorance here, but what is a soundboard?

It's a GREAT SHOW and Elvis is right on top of his game here, OK so we had 5 tracks on DIXILAND ROCKS but most of the show is 'unheard' and great addition to your 'live' collection!

a soundboard is a simple cassette. but not recorded on a usual cassette-recorder from the audience, this cassette was put into the sound system. it's (usually) a mono recording of the show. A soundboard recording was never thought to be released, cause of the (usually) average (sometimes poor) soundquality. hope i could help you a little... but i'm no expert anyway ;-)

SDEAHKCID, you are absolutely right about Elvis looking like one of his own impersonators on that picture. I would also add that it's one of the worst photo of Elvis I've ever seen. The cover of the "Complete DVD collection" is the total opposite though, WOW !!!
