Instead of extended plays..the should give us one full CD to save some money. The material is not very interesting either, available on cdr for ages now. I take it with reservations now..

CiscoKing, agree with your point's and have email them to ask exactly that question?....a bits and bobs collection on this the 2nd (E.P) from Venus with 13 tracks,would of liked Venus to stick to the format that has made them a label to reckon with and not bring out 'quick buck' cd's.

will it come in a paper sleeve this one too as with a private jet to promised land? I'm tired of this stuff too i have plenty and not only the series from the american way. And if later too buy it perhaps from FTD?How much most collectors buy from the same before gets some new these days? Only a few takes here and there hmm.Well I guess I've to big collection and of course I don't have to buy it. But I'm a diehard collector I guess :-(

drjohncarpenter0117..I agree 100%...seems more and more just for quick bucks. Obviously they took songs from old bootleg American Rejects (e.g. In The Ghetto, Inherit The Wind) from The American Way Vol. 5 (I´ll Be There T6), TAW Vol.3 (It Keeps Right On A Hurtin), Memphis Sessions FTD (You`ll think Of Me T14)....just to mention a few. I`ve Got Confidence T2 is the master,, Good Time Charlie we had on FTD..Lead Me, Guide Me is the master. Are You Sncere T3 seems the only thing of interest..

I think some of you are totally off-track,VENUS never dissapointed me, and now they release something from 69 and something from 73 which isn't released before..and now it's a quick buck? what a sudden turn-around from some of you towards this label, and you cannot say that these tracks are pulled of from other cd's or releases, they never did that before..either way , i will buy it, even though i have the whole 69 session except for 73 goodies then, their latest releases didn't dissapointed me so far,And btw you didn't read the whole article this is what i read on FECC from VENUS: "We, at Venus Productions, are proud to be able to keep up our image of bringing you quality products with unreleased recordings and an "out of space" sound. This time we'll take you back to Jan./Feb. 1969 to the American Sound Studios in Memphis, TN. As a special bonus to you, we've also included four goodies from 1971 & 1973. All I ever see is Elvis fans complaining about every release ! Look at this release guys ! If this was the next CD to hit the stores world wide and given due promotion and advertising ... would you still complain??? That is quite a cool cover and as for the song line up , its one I could play track after track without having to skip over a mediocre tune. This is a great release ! Yes if it was made by Sony and promoted and zooomed into the top ten best selling UK / USA CD releases of the week would be much better and I dont think we would hear too many complaints then !

If it was a no name label you would say ..it`s plain C-R-A-P with just one track worth having.

"Jesse Garon Presley": I think you missed "myway"s point. Together with Venus Productions previous release, "On The Way To The Promised Land", this next CD will also contain very little new stuff. As "myway" correctly stated, the only unreleased track on the upcoming "Keep Rollin' On" will be take 3 of Are you Sincere. And the whole thing will also only come in a cheap cardboard cover. I have no problem with bootleggers putting out these CD's, but personally I'm not very impressed or excited by Venus two latest releases. Hopefully, they will get back to basics, and concentrate on finding genuine new and unreleased stuff. Not easy to find these days, though. The varoius wells outside the Sony tape archives is obviously getting quite dry.

I didn't miss myway's point at all, not even close, no it's a matter fact that's why i gave my reaction the way i did but you only reffering to me?, RobIreland thought the same way i did and Cisco: i don't think this is c-r-a-p- VENUS never delivered c-r-a-p, and Hans Otto i think you missed my point didn't you read the complete announcement of VENUS? i suggest you do, and HURT from VENUS was no dissapointing whatsoever,neither was the other release "On A JetPlane,i'm not that picky, if there are fans who do not enjoy this release,so be it, not my problem.

I wouldn't use the word C-R-A-P, but I am confused by this sidetrip in Venus' release. I, like others, was hoping to get a full-fledged release of Stax material for the "Promised Land" album rather than this. I thought the "On a Jet..." release was a preview of what was to come - and maybe it still is - but this will be the first Venus release that I have skipped as I have it all except Are You Sncere T3. Still for those who missed the "American Way" series, there's some enjoyable tracks to be found on here. I guess I'm at the point in collecting where I won't have to gobble up each new release because it holds something new. I'm afraid those releases will be fewer and far between. Maybe next time Venus....

Sorry if fans thing this is a turnaround regarding my reaction to this release compared to my always positive points of view regarding official or imports cd's, but Venus has set the bar so high on past releases.....cd/book combo's, themed series of material that i was a little dissapointed with the 'cardboard sleeves' projects......of which Venus have more planned for this year. The important thing here is of course the sound of which Venus come out on top, and we know what they say in the press release is in fact a truthful representation on the final product, future projects from Venus this year will of course make up for the 'cardboard sleeves' EP's and we as fans are going to be in for a treat. Always positve when it comes to Elvis,cd's and imports but maybe....just maybe not a huge fan of 'cardboard sleeves' By the way this cd is already out and the cheeky boys and girls at Venus are sending me a copy in a single cd Jewel case.......minus the cover?.......lol

That is the kind of 'innovative' material we want to buy ! No the FTD Rehearsals (which is incomplete!!!e.g. Mary in the morning, I need your loving everyday etc) or Pot Luck Outtakes CD (not colmplete either !!!e.g. Millionth & last time, I met her today etc) or 'monotonous' and 'audience tape of Amarillo concert with all those 'of the same' songs that we've been hearing a-1000 times over & over...Get smart Jorgensen and don't rip us off anylonger, please, brother. Keep rockin' on is valuable because there are still so many outtakes and Working Parts pmissing in our collection (from all those classic last albums he released...in Fall we get them you suggested...?Sure hope so). Good marketing of this label with igh sales potential...better than FTD.

Heard this cd 2 times today and its good but the previous ones from VENUS was much better...IMO. BTW Track 12 isnt I 've Got Confidence.

Forgot to mention that CiscoKing is "out in the fields" when saying most tracks are from other boots, theyre not. They all sound different.. some are extended others unedited....a song like inherit the wind is quite different compared to other versions of the same take. Also sound is simply awesome on the 69 tracks........the rest is great too.

Hi All I found tis great review of this cd on the FECC - FORUM, so here goes : Review - “Keep Rollin’ On” The new VENUS release “Keep Rollin’ On” is out now. It’s offered in a simple paper-sleeve which isn’t my cup of tea at all. Anyhow, it’s the content what it’s mainly all about. This time we get nine tracks from the fabulous Memphis sessions from 1969 and four bonus tracks from the seventies. Let’s have a closer look on this one to ascertain if VENUS can keep up with the high level of their latest releases. The first song is take 2 from the fantastic “I’m Movin‘ on”. On this version the brass are added and the backup overdubs are already done, but the vocals aren’t replaced. That means that this one is from January 19, 1969 instead of January 15. That would have been the unrepaired master which was released on FTDs “Memphis Sessions”, but that one hadn’t the brass and backup overdubs. So this version is unreleased. Track two is Elvis first biggest hit after his artistic resurrection: “In The Ghetto”. The VENUS release offers the master take with overdubbed backup and unrepaired vocals. It was former released on the old bootleg release “American Rejects” in 1992, but without the count-in. Higher skills in engineering and a much better sounding source let this one sound truely fantastic! The third track on the CD is take 6 of “I’ll Be There”. A few years ago the take was released on the fifth volume of “The American Way” in mono sound. The sound – in stereo - on the new VENUS release sounds so much better that it almost sounds like a new song. For the ones who aren’t too familiar with alternate takes it should be said, that this take was overdubbed with some vocal echo. In glorious stereo the song sounds almost too good to be released by a bootleg label. What a treat! Track four is “Inherit The Wind” with alternate vocals. Elvis is somewhat messing around with the lyrics at the start of the song. The overdubs with strings and the backup are already done, but the vocals aren’t replaced. That means this one is unreleased. The soundquality is superb. Track five is the unedited master of “After Loving You” with the count-in. The officially released master was done without overdubs and is a few seconds shorter than the version from VENUS. The sixth track is the unedited master of “Any Day Now” with unrepaired vocals. In comparison to the master take on the ‘Complete Masters’ you simply have to be stunned. The mix does sound very different and the soundquality is nothing but brilliant. A gem . Track seven is the undubbed master take of “Mama Liked The Roses” with the overdubbed vocals. The version offers alternate lyrics. As there aren’t any different takes of this song available in any form, makes this one also unreleased. The eigth track offers the undubbed master of ‘It Keeps Right On A Hurtin’. It was former released on the third volume in the ‘The American Way’ series. At the time it was released by Southern Comfort it was – without a doubt – a must-have release. In comparison to the soundquality with VENUS’ version it isn’t able to match, but that doesn’t take anything away from the fabulous release from Southern Comfort which is a classic on its own. Watch out for the brilliant guitar playing from Reggie Young on this one. Track nine offers take 14 of “You’ll Think Of Me”. The take was released before on FTDs “Memphis Sessions”, but here we get the unedited take with no fade-out. The last four tracks are bonus tracks from the seventies. All four of them are unreleased in this form. The tenth track is take 8 of “Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues”. It was former released on FTDs “Good Times”, but VENUS left out the rehearsal part where Elvis comments on Charlie Hodge – “Good time Charlie's lost his mind”. Otherwise the song is unedited and has no fade-out. Track eleven is the master of “Lead Me, Guide Me” which sounds superior to my ears in comparison to the recently released master on “The Complete Masters”. A beautiful gospel tune in truely fantastic soundquality. The twelfth track isn’t “I’ve Got Confidence” as was said in the announcement. Instead of it, it’s the unedited master of “Seeing Is Believing” without a fade-out. The title of the song fits the soundquality – “hearing is believing”. This one sounds mighty fine! The last track is the former unreleased take 3 from “Are You Sincere”. What this version makes so good, is the incredible soundquality. It sounds as Elvis sits next to you and is singing to you. What ever VENUS will release in the next months – if they’ll do – they raised the bar for future releases in terms of soundquality with their last releases. This one sounds so incredibly good that it will take a few days to get the grin from my face if I’ll die today. Recommended to the Elvis-infected hardcore collectors.

The more people compare these takes with takes from other releases the more almost all of it turns out to be already released..

Which is not the case Cisco above all that the sound quality on this release is not to be compared with other releases,no the sound on this one is legendary, almost everyone ( forums etc) thinks this cd is a real winner, and i am one of them.

And there are unreleased tracks on this one and besides that the audio-sources used on this release is far more superior compared to other former releases, i suggest Cisco you read the review i posted from the FECC forum a few days ago, that review is saying it all.
