Jorgensen's Sessions Book Re-issued

The 1986 sessions book "Reconsider Baby: the Definitive ELVIS Sessionography 1954-1977" by Ernst Jorgensen will be re-issued by Diane Publishing September 28, 2009.

Book description:

The central focus of this book is the body of recordings made by Elvis Presley. This is the definitive book for those who really want to know the ins and outs of the music as recorded by Elvis. The book discusses all of the known and released Elvis Presley recordings, as well as many rare items. The authors have tracked down as much information as possible on each and every record and recording, and pieced it together in order to present a clear and detailed analysis of Elvis’ music. This U.S. edition excludes a brief addendum on Elvis’ career which appeared in "Elvis Recording Sessions," in order to make room for an appendix containing additions and corrections to the sessionography. Photos. Reconsider Baby was a precuror to Ernst's Elvis Presley: A Life In Music.

No recording sessions book, either by Jorgensen or Tunzi, will surpass Keith Flynn's excellent website on the subject.

See they are going to amend some errors. Did not read properly.

A book like this should be released in a ring binder format that way new information can be added as it is found, and the old page taken out. Pages could be down loadable? or bought. The book had a few mistakes in so it seems silly that these are not going to be corrected before it is simply re-issued. Wish Joe Tunzi would do a ring binder addition of recording sessions. Keep buying the same book over and over, good money spinner!!

I have the original & it's a very good book. I actually like it more than A Life In Music.
