Very sad news. I met John a couple of years ago when he was in Belgium and we talked about guitars and their pick-ups. What a nice and friendly man he was, a real gentleman. Rest in peace John. Your body is gone but your soul will live forever ! Always El.

Elvis needed a (super) guitarplayer, up there ! And when the Boss calls...you run, son ! Deepest sympathy to John's wife & family ! He'll be remembered not only as a great humanitarian, a super musician but also a "good" man at heart; an example to us all, I'd say. R I P John.

my condolences to john's family. It's a loss for the elvis world. he was always kind to Elvis and talk with love for him. But what most forgot is that he was one of the greatest guitarplayers. Forgotten by the serieus guitarplayers and wellknown artists. he belongs to the legendary names as Moore,Burton, Micky Gee. Their style are the best . John rest in peace. Thanks for the music

I'm stunned. John always seemed to find a way to bounce back. What a fighter he has been the last few years. As Dobie Gray sang, 'thanks for the joy that you've given me." Elvis' music and shows would have been drastically different without what you gave. My condolences to your family. RIP Johnny.

John was a great guitar player; and a fabulous addition to the Elvis presley performances..I read also that he was a great addition in the recording room; which was very important to Elvis records being the great recordings they were.
