Joe Moscheo Passed Away

January 12, 2016 | People

Yesterday Joe Moscheo passed away at the age of 78. He is best known for his membership of The Imperials, but also produced The Gospel Side of Elvis. He was inducted in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2007. All together he was in the music business for over 40 years. Last year his health went down hill and he has been in hospital since late December.

Very sad news. Joe was a really nice guy and will always be remembered as one of The Imperials and a part of the Elvis Legacy. R.I.P. Joe.

This is very sad news. The Imperials are my favorite among the male groups that worked with Elvis.

I always enjoyed watching the enthusiasm that Joe displayed with a smile on television whenever he was talking about Elvis' musical legacy or Elvis as a friend. Joe will be missed!

circleG, I agree "The Gospel Side of Elvis" is a fantastic tribute and celebration of Elvis and wish that more people like Joe had been in Elvis' life than many of the Memphis Mafia guys. RIP Joe, you will be missed.
