Hopkins was the first respectful writer to give the world a trustful and serious biography of Elvis. His first publication, dated from 1971, is a mark, much earlier than Elvis becomes an icon to the world, definitively, while many still doubted his longevity and "return". Jerry Hopkins certainly deserves our consideration and gratitude, I suppose.

Hi Everyone... I totally agree with these two about The Biography on Elvis Presley by Jerry Hopkins. This book has been my very favorite of all books on Elvis. You can sincerely appreciate what Jerry writes. My respects and congratulations to Jerry Hopkins.

I wonder if this book will be updated? The original was great, but it would be better still if Hopkins covered Elvis life from 1970 up to his death as well.

He did, he wrote "The Final Years".

This is without a doubt THE best book ever written about Elvis. It is the Elvis bible. Can't wait for the re-issue.
