A good product but I suspect it will be too expensive for most fans.

Why?? Three dvd's - honestly, three dvd's. Heck, there is a boxset floating around, propably on Ebay and places like that, with 30 (or more, at least 31 if I recall correctly - I haven't purchased it yet) dvd's, which is propably all the video recording that was done for That's The Way It Is (granted, no cd's from the shows but still). I have no idea whether the audio cd's are complete - but I'm not going to touch this release with a ten foot pole, because it's a complete lie what is stated on the box ("Complete works"), as this is not a complete set. Oh, and yeah - ElvisNews, this comment of mine is in relation to the story, so no warning (again!) is needed - neither the first two times!!

The 30 / 31 disc set you speak of contains a lot of the same stuff over and over again from different angles. In pretty lousy quality too. I've heard that the quality of this new set is very good but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm looking forward to watching it as I eat lots of pizza pie.

I've got the 2 disc TTWII DVD released by Warner a few years ago. That's enough for me.

Why couldn't Turner/WarnerBros/EPE and BMG not release such a complete Box of 6 or 9 DVDs with Elvis' voice as filmed by MGM in those days ? Would bring better qulity for sure to fans that want to see everything that was filmed during ALL shows and complete rehearsal works ! It could be marketed perhaps in 2009 when Turner finally agrees and decides to re-release the TTWIWas Movie on DVD ...with a special DVD box for FTD customers and buyers (perhaps half a million fans want to buy such great unseen product). Good sales forecast for ALL involved.

im gonna welcome this set if only for the 3 unreleased shows there gonna give us. i know the songs are the same but for some reason the shows always differ somehow. and if they cleaned up the material itll be great to watch im sure

Don´t get me wrong, I love TTWII, and I think this is a good (but expensive) idea. But, it´s Elvis on tour that people wants, I think so. If this release live up to its word (the complete work), then every show of Comeback special, that´s the way it is and aloha is released as a dvd. The natural thing to do now would have been to release Elvis on tour and perhaps even Elvis in concert. Is it going to happen? Probably not
