We do review other websites, but don't claim to have the monopoly on wisdom. The past few weeks we got some comments ourself about this site. One that came back several times was the switching in font-sizes and -types. We promise to do that less often from now on!
Another comment we got was about the background. Because there is a lot to read on our pages, the milky white background was too much for some people, the contrast was too big. That's why we changed it to the current one(s).
