Ru Serious: I can, too. But don't have the time. I'll buy the CD if I can find it. Saves me a lot of time.

This looks like a great CD. I will buy this. Better than all those lousy audience recordings.

Raised on Rock and what a fantastic photo of our man

No less an authority than Jordan Ritchie has been quoted that this is a stand-out presentation of these tracks and not to be confused with some amateur just fiddling with a computer program. As he writes, the remixer was able to bring out things in these songs many of us have never heard, putting to shame most of the other '70s sessions that saw issue as part of the "Elvis in the '90s' CD series. So I 've heard the excerpts and have to say I'm a convert! I look forward to getting this. If only RCA/ BMG could start revisiting such sessions with an equal eye to remastering and remixing.......

I remember a Label called Raised on Rock a few years ago and it was a great fake. At the time they release I guess 4 Cds. All 4 were rubbish. What about this one ? TCB.

Want this one definitley...love this album anyway especially the simply beautiful song I Miss You. And what a gorgeous picture of our man too.

This looks like one of the best imports for sometime -the songs have been remastered not simply played around with on an equaliser. Surea couple are amongsth the worst songs Elvis ever recorded eg Three Corn Patches, Girl of Mine. But with Its Midnight, Loving Arms, If You Talk In yOur Sleep, Sweet Angeline (an underated masterpiece and shamefully left off the 70s box set) etc, how can you go wrong. Maybe could have done without TCP, GOM and I Miss You and instead had Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues but no doubt if this is successful, a FTD version will be issued in the not too distant future....

wow! look at all these responses so quick--take a look rca--this is an avenue you need to explore!!!

Would you recommend buying this CD or waiting for the FTD version? Will they both have the same track listing? (I've never bought from the FTD collection before)

unfortunately songs of elvis on the skids or just a fraction from being brilliant . too bad elvis died so early after way down it sounded as if he was going to try hard again

Why is everyone saying how good these remixes are going to be? When the '70's box set came out, many people complained about the "mix reconstructions" on there. And when "ALLC" came out, there were many complaints! Surely this is tampering with the music as was originally intended? If this was a FTD/BMG release, there would be moans all round.
harmston wrote on January 16, 2005
I think much of the resistance to the 'reconstructions' from the 70s box set were simply that they were diabolical - for instance listen to Loving Arms where much of the emotion has been simply drained away - and not a reaction to the 'remix' as such. I think there is a general acknowledgement that much of the mixing from the 70s original releases wasn't as good as it should be - and I would be very much in favour of sympathetic remixing of anything if it improved the quality of the song. As for ALLC, I'm not sure this can be considered a remix - simply loads of out of tune crap overlayed on the recording.

If one desires to actually remix these sessions, one would need the multi-track tapes. Somehow I doubt these bootleggers have them…

I rank this to the jungle room sessions of FTD I've heard the samples last year and they blew me out of my shoes. If they didn't have the multi tracks I don't care. They do have something special, thats for sure. Its really a amazing job. As if I'm standing beside the man while singing and hearing instruments i never noticed before. I hate the corny songs like TCP or GOM but everything is really groovy different its like what the STAX-songs normally are. Black moving & soulfull sensative. I first expected to enter the world of pure diamond cds. Man I was so wrong I thought it then and I still do, I want this CD Actually i believed that it woudn't be released anymore. So I can't wait to have it in my hands. TCB
