I Couldn't Live Without You Released

March 22, 2005 | Music
The import release "I Couldn't Live Without You" by the Snowy label has been released. The track listing looks quite familiar and if not mistaken it's very likely that all those tracks were lifted from mp3 files on the net.

Track listing :

Can you believe someone has made a Bootleg CD of songs from my web site, and actually think they are real "Takes" ? I mean, come on, who actually thinks Elvis did a vocal overdub for the song "Angel"? or the Stereo Master for "A Whistling Tune" (Follow That Dream) has been found! I made them myself for God's sake! And with only downloading the songs from my web site, they are only poor sounding MP3 samples and not any where near the great sound quality they really are! This sort of thing really pi**es me off as all I want to do is let fans hear (and see) what is in peoples private collections, but if this is going to happen, then I will have to close my site.

A Whistling Tune isn't from Follow That Dream it's from Kid Galahad.....or is this a totally different song ?

A Whistling Tune was recorded by Elvis for the movie Follow That Dream on July 2, 1961. Is wasn't used and subsequently re-recorded for Kid Galahad on October 26, 1961. Check the elvisrecordings website for exact details. Both versions were released about 10 years ago in the Double Features series (Flaming Star/Wild in the Country/Follow That Dream & Kid Glahad/Girls! Girls! Girls!). The version recorded for Follow That Dream is also featured on the recent FTD Collector's Label 7" soundtrack release of the movie.

And I forgot about the Kid Galahad 7" soundtrack that was released along with the Follow That Dream soundtrack. This one features the October '61 version.

Other than the Cover art that is beautiful, this release is not worth the fuss, with inferior cuts stolen from Keith's website.
