Houston Press Conference Release?

November 21, 2007 | Video
The new Elvis Unlimited magazine features an interview with top-collector Sherif Hanna. Sherif, for obvious reasons, doesn't go into detail, but one quote is interesting.

When interviewer Megan Murphy asks about his future plans, Sherif replies: "We can talk about the Houston Astrodome Press Conference. I have that in 16 mm. The original footage of that is absolutely stunning, it is gorgeous. That is something that I plan to release on some kind of high definition format. And to do that, you have to have the original source to transfer to HD's."

Is this the one that recently appeared on Joe Tunzi's DVD release "Hot shots and cool clips 3"???!!

Thought we got the whole press conf (in great quality) on the last Tunzi DVD. Is this different in any way?

There's been a 9 minute version of that press conference available during 1 week only on Youtube a month ago. The most complete one I've seen to this day. We could even see Elvis standing up showing the whole outfit he was wearing. It was really interesting...but it unfortunately didn't remain available long enough. Hopefully this upcoming release will come out soon !

"My boy, my boy" - in that case, this is the same footage as released on the recent "Hot shots and cool clips 3" dvd and also "Elvis thru the years" dvd. Both are perfect quality and around 9 mins each. Therefore, we have no need to wait for Paul Dowling.

Sorry, I meant Sherrif Hanna. And I'm sure this is the least interesting item he has in his collection!

Thanks for the info Tony Dobb. I got the chance to look at it yesterday and this is exactly the version I was talking about. It is quite interesting. I made sure to save it this time :p
