dear BMG/FTD, please release a holiday season cd of alternate christmas takes and a FTD of the classic album He touched me.. I also asked Santa..

As far as I'm aware no outtakes survive from Elvis' Christmas Album ('57). So, it's likely that we'll more get Christmas outtakes when FTD gets around to releasing "The Wonderful World Of Christmas." Hopefully, Christmas 2008. FYI: There were some Christmas outtakes on "I Sing All Kinds" from FTD.

Wonderful American Classic sets, by an american legend but not available in the USA, the place that made it happen. I"M sick of BMG if it wasnt for the USA they would still be behind the Iron Curtain listening to Beethoven and the little paper hanger. GET Real BMG what about us, all i ever see is just plain trash on the american music shelves.

I'm buying it just for the collectable tin can. I love collecting tin cans.

For pete's sake, Jumpin' J: Just go to Amazon's Canadian site and order it. It ain't rocket science.

Harvey A: The correct merchandising term would be "Decorative Tin." FYI: The "Home For The Holidays" decorative tin is quite striking.

I might buy this as I don't have a Chritmas collection

To Jerry thats not the point. Fact in the USA we only get the Garbage, the nice packages are displayed around the world, and we get the trash. Have you been to best buy or Walmart lately, what do you see? Nothing, just recycled Garbage.

Amen Joseph. I did get the "Home For The Holidays" decorative tin and it is very striking. Very pleased with it. Now I'm waiting for the Star Christmas package with Christmas song outtakes and DVD being sent to my by a friend across the pond. Seek and you will find.

Jumpin' J: As a matter of fact I was at both Walmart and Best Buy recently. That's where I saw "Home For The Holidays." Just ordered the "Christmas Collection" from amazon.ca. Personally, I don't consider either of these garbage.

Why not just stick with "Christmas peace", "If everyday was like Christmas", "Merry Christmas", "Elvis' Christmas album" etc, etc...Same material for the umpteenth time. Coming soon, a love songs compilation with 2 tracks on it in 20 different sleeves!!!
JerryNodak wrote on November 25, 2007
Tony: I have all those. Plus Time/Life's "Christmas." Also, Razor and Tie's "Christmas With Elvis." But none of these come with the great decorative tins. Also, can't wait for the next love song comp.

Harvey...There's highway 46 running through NJ. The slobs out here throw cans away all the time. Why not come down? Not only will you find the cans you love to collect but you will also do the good people of NJ incl. myself a favor by cleaning up the mess, & you may find the collectable Elvis tin to boot!

Good idea theoldscudder. I know I'd appreciate it, being a Jerseyite.

Being from NJ myself, I went to route 46 and looked thru the tins. No Christmas collection but I did see the Elvis Hallmark Valentines candy tin.

To theoldscudder: thanks for the tip. I'll be along to collect those cans, then I'll stick a picture of Elvis on them and sell 'em to all the wombats who buy any old shit with his likeness on it. I should make a fortune as there are a lot of wombats out there. Here too.
