Hi-Tech Teddy Bears On The Way

September 12, 2003 | Other
Here is a press release from EPE on another Teddy Bear.

Folsom, CA-Limited Treasures, Inc. today announced signing a licensing agreement with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. for exclusive rights to manufacture plush bears that use its patent pending technology for printing full color images on the fabric.

Company Marketing Director Charles Copeland explains that Gallery Treasures have perfected a technique to take full color images, works of art, and photos, and permanently imprint them on a canvas of adorable plush bean bears, while maintaining the soft plush feel of the fabric. "It has taken us years to perfect, but the final result is the greatest innovation for the plush market in years. We are very excited to see this technique combined with such a perennial favorite as Elvis Presley, and see a great future for additional licenses with other
image collections".

Initial designs will feature a colorful montage of Elvis images from his military service, combined with a patriotic theme, and another design, a special tribute to one of Elvis' greatest concerts, Aloha from Hawaii. This colorful bear features the now famous images of Elvis' performance, framed with a colorfully imprinted Hawaiian theme of flowers, surf, and sand. This is expected to be just the first in a series of collector quality plush bears. Gallery Treasures has announced plans to produce several more designs by year's end. Suggested retail is $12.95.

More information can be found on the Limited Treasures Web site. The Elvis bears will appear on the site as they become available. There are none on the site just yet.

Sweet! I'll buy one, and then buy a few for my little sisters.
