C'mon, commoneverybody! You're kidding, right? sot of these songs (1956) were recorded in mono... "for the first time: The binaural tracks are re-made to recreate the original sound of the 50's!!" I can do that on my personal computer, saving these so-called binaural tracks as MONO!

Cool cover but on the left there's a picture showing our boy playing the guitar left-handed!
Deke Rivers 6 wrote on January 18, 2009
Yes, great cover from King Creole, the left handed guitar, oh don't we love these reversed pictures !

He looked so cool in the 50s! And its great to hear those alternate 50s tracks without skipping 30 false starts or incomplete songs. I like it!

This looks awesome to me, being the fifties fan that i am! Harvey and Deke, if you turn a guitar, you can "slap" on it, that's what Elvis used to do during the sessions, so Elvis himself "reversed" the guitar. i can live with that ;-)

agree commoneverybody, awesome cover and no matter how many times they are re-issued, it's still great content.

To each his own, but I prefer the takes with false starts and studiobanter, gives one the impression of the real atmosphere during recording sessions. Hi there Van Basten :if you're a right-handed guitarplayer , that means playing the chords with the left hand and strumming the strings with the right hand( and most of them are,so am I) and you turn your guitar, it's still in the position of a righthanded player. Of course Elvis turned many times his guitar to slap on it, but this picture has indeed be reversed. But I think this is not so important, it's what on the CD what counts most. Always El.

My dealer told me that this computer-faked CD was produced by a Dutch bootlegger. How interesting that the persons who praise this CD are all Dutch...
commoneverybody wrote on January 19, 2009
He Snowman.... thats because the Dutch know when something is worth buying.... and this one is! If only for the cool looking cover! And Ciscoking..... are you sure you don´t want to say C-R-A-P ???? Well done my friend, you´re learning ;-)
Ciscoking wrote on January 19, 2009
I changed into a cover collector..lol...the disc itself is of course..plain C-R-A-P..

I just made my own version of this CD, using mostly FTDs!!! I'll print the cover later and I have this album for free and maybe in better quality (we don't know if these tracks were taking from MP3s)
Van Basten wrote on January 21, 2009
Wow! Thats Cool Jimmy! But then again i hate cdrs...;-) What splice did you use for Is It So Strange? I am sure more wanna make their own cd, i dont cause what i have heard the prices for these cds are pretty low (around 15 euros), and they are from the same guys who do the alternate albums.. i bet the quality will be outstanding and definitly no mp3. Is it out yet?
