Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE) has laid off 50 employees, or about 15 percent of its workforce, because of tourism declines before and after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Tourism had declined at least 15 percent at Graceland. Since almost a third of the visitor ship to Graceland is from outside the country, EPE has seen significant effects.
