George Kirgo, Former WGA President, Dies

George Kirgo, president of the WGA West from 1987-91, died Sunday after a lengthy illness at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica. He was 78. His film credits include the 1966 Elvis Presley starrer "Spinout".

He also contributed to TV movies and series as "Mary Tyler Moore" (who starred with Elvis in "Change of Habit" in 1969.
