This Is Great! I am really excited about "Tickle Me" I have been wanting that on the FTD label ever since they started doing the movie soundtracks. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!

It's about time there was a "Tickle Me" cd release! I have the ep and singles from the movie. I know all the songs were released before (except for the movie version of "I Feel That I've Known You Forever"), but the movie was a pretty decent film and the songs were all good. Of course, there was very little in the way of good judgment used back in those days with Elvis releases. It's a shame it had to wait until now...but I'm very pleased that it is finally coming out! I'll be buying this one for sure!

Movie soundtracks ? Very interested. More than soundboards. Thank you FTD, Thank you very much.

Sounds great. However, the 1969 date is incorrect. There was no concert on July 26, 1969.
Ton Bruins wrote on May 12, 2005
1969 concert must be August 26th 1969. I still hope to get a soundboard from the very first 1969 show July 31th. Tickle me, Tickle them, Tickle everybody...yeahhhh !!! lol.

If anyone wants to see the songs performed on Aug. 26 MS, turn to page 274 of the Sessions 3 book by tunzi.

Tickle me! what a waste of time! once the potluck and something for everybody album is redone like the brilliant new Elvis is back double this disc will be redundant as we`ll have all the tracks elsewhere. If you haven`t already noticed this is already happening elsewhere. how many tracks from the 2 ftd movie outtake discs are not found on other ftd discs? smacks of bad planning or just the usual rip off, not for the first time!

the ( laughing ) live version of "are you lonesome tonight" WAS recorded on 8-26-69. the "tickle me" soundtrack release i guess will be great but, like has already been mentioned, when "pot luck" and "something for everybody" get's released, we'll already have those song's due in part because, these song's had already been long recorded and released long before the movie came out.

Great! I have the ep from Tickle Me!!!! I'm looking forward to the FTD release

To those complaining that there will be track duplication between Elvis Is Back: Something For Everybody; Pot Luck; and the expected release of Tickle Me in 7 inch format I say, "I don't care". If it bothers you just skip the Tickle Me release. As for me I'm ecstatic to be getting Tickle Me in the 7 inch format. I plan to buy the other releases mentioned as well. Track duplication notwithstanding. Thanks, Ernst. Ton Bruins: Movie soundtracks? Not interested. Fine. Buy what interests you and skip what doesn't. I never buy soundboards or audience recordings.

How is the release of a "Tickle Me" CD a rip-off? No-one puts a gun to ones head and demands it's purchase! I think this will be a nice CD, the vinyl version issued in 2002 was a great LP. I have always had a soft spot for this film, and I look forward to it's DVD release. As for these "not interested" comments, I am very interested in any unreleased material, whether it be studio, soundboard or audience sourced.

JerryyNodak: Thanks for the advice. I never buy audience recordings either. Enjoy Tickle Me.

Stop complaining!!! If you don`t like what`s released, dont buy it. It`s as easy as that. To many people have a negative mind.
Ton Bruins wrote on May 13, 2005
I am not complaining, just give my opinion. We live in a free world, so when I say movie soundtracks, not interested that's just my opinion, that's all. And you are right: if you don't like it, don't buy it. Has nothing to do with a negative mind. I hope you will enjoy Tickle Me and I mean that.

I'm extremely pleased with the upcoming release of "Tickle Me." Like many fellow collectors I would like to see all of the EPs and full length movie albums released in the 7" format. I think that FTD has done an outstanding job on each one of the 7" releases thus far and I'm looking forward to collecting all their future releases.

I will buy it LOL..

Another reason for buying these releases is to get the great photos inside the sleeve and booklet. Perhaps when FTD get around to releasing the Pot Luck album, it will contain different outtakes to the ones planned for Tickle Me. They may have found the version of I Feel That I've Known You Forever that was used in the movie instead of the regular release found on Pot Luck. They might also include the radio Tickle Me ads too. They are using the US EP cover for the front, but it will be interesting to see if they use the UK pic inside. I'm not sure what the rip off complaints are about- if it's all about track duplication, and as all FTD discs are meant for collectors, then any serious collector would already have the tracks anyway on the 60's box sets, and the regular releases that came out a few years ago. As has been said, if you don't like it, don't buy it. For me, these are better than the soundboards that have the same songs on all the time. C'mon, give FTD a break, otherwise they might just decide not to bother doing anything in the future.

In my opinion, FTD is made by fans for fans. Some duplicates ok, but there are also a lot of unreleased stuff - real gems if you listen to all of the releases. Would love to hear what the fans thinks should be on a "Best of FTD" - compilation!

Another Movie Soundtrack, yes please..absolutely very interested. And it's about time too. Can't wait for the TICKLE ME 7" format. Thank you Ernst & FTD, more please...

I haven't bought any of the FTD soundtrack releases simply because I laid down so much money for the complete "Double Features" collection a few years back. I do have everything else from FTD and I must ad that I think Ernst is doing a fantastic job! As for all the folks that feel that they must complain about the quality of the releases, please remember that most of it was never intended for commercial release in the first place! These so called "Bad Performances" with the same old songs or the "flat sounding" soundboards are just about all we have left folks aside from outakes and remasters. I am so grateful for the FTD series and look forward to each new release! KEEP'EM COMING, ERNST!!!

Hey mfuzzy, I agree with not buying the soundtrack FTD out of principal, but the sound is better and there are loads of unreleased stuff on them. My favorite is the Spinout CD, the Beach Shack takes are very funny.
