FTD October 2003

According to "The Man And His Music" the title of the upcoming FTD-release will be "Takin' Tahoe Tonight". The CD will contain a soundboard recording of the Mother's Day Show in Lake Tahoe, May 13, 1973. It was released on several bootlegs too recently, but then as audience recording.

I hope it's a good choice. Another Live release should have either a great sound or Elvis is in (extra) great spirit/voice and sings songs he normally didn't sing. I don't wait for antoher release like "Dragon Heart" or "Dinner at Eight". Another idea is to realease a Live CD from one tour and only put on the best performances of that tour; please without songs like "Teddy Bear", "Hound Dog" and other throw-away songs.

Great! Since we have so little of Elvis live in '73, it's a real treat that this particular show will be released on FTD! Just listen to Man In White vol.4 or The Perfect Gift and you'll be convinced that this show is awesome!
Keep those FTD's coming! :)

Another FTD release. Another soundboard. FTD has just saved me another thirty bucks.

I try my best to forget the close-up box set (with an exception of a nice 60's outtakes... 2 maybe 3 I was really disappointed and I don't remember any 71 outtakes or Today session material. I love Elvis live but doesn't Hound Dog, Heartbreak Hotel and all the others in general start to sound all the same, hey just my opinion and @ $35 a pop kinda expensive one.

Keep the live cd's coming! It's the only way now to expierence the power of Elvis' concerts!!! FTD_44, don't forget the recently released Close Up box...

It would sure be great to have this baby on official record, instead of audience crap bootlegs :-)
