The October releases, Café Europa - G.I. Blues Vol. 2, The On Stage Season and From Elvis In Memphis, are suggested to be out on October the 14th. The 2 CD version of Moody Blue and another 2CD set with more outtakes from the American Sound Studio sessions are set for November and will be this year's last releases.

I'm glad to read that "Moody Blue" will be a 2 CD set. Several sites were claiming this was going to be a 1 disc set. Wonder if the CD will be colored blue... Just a thought. Looking forward two another two CD set of outtakes from the American Sound Sessions as well. Looks like two winners to close out another great year of FTD releases.

Hello, presumably 'From Elvis In Memphis' will be a vinyl version of the CD's released earlier this year. The 'On Stage Season' has been sourced from soundboards so I think they've been a bit naughty - or a bit clever - associating it by its title with the famous 'On Stage (February 1970)' release. 'Moody Blue' should have its moments, though I hope they eliminate the awful dubbed audience racket from 'Let Me Be There'. The standout release in these 2 batches is undoubtedly the one compiled from the 1969 American studios sessions. Elvis was singing beautifully at the time, and had had some great material too.

Good stuff on the way from FTD! If the Moody Blue set is as good as FTD's From Elvis Presley Blvd, then it will be a must have.

Mouthwatering prospects for the near future. Some of the few gaps in terms of studio material is being filled (Moody Blue, American Studios). Not much left after that, I hope for a "Stereo '57" release soon...

All sounds great I guess but you have to be a wealthy man or woman to buy all of these releases from FTD. I wonder when they will run out of outakes remixes ect. I am a little cynical because it use to be material that was historic or unreleased but in my opinion they have milked the diehard fans for all of their money. I am waiting for 2-3 soundtracks not yet released like Kissin Cousins, Roustabout, Speedway and no more soundtracks from movies like Stay Away Joe that did not have soundtracks. Are they going to release a soundtrack for Charro with 40 outakes of the same song?

We have to be realistic when we request certain releases. Yet again, a call for FTD expanded versions of "Kissin' Cousins", "Roustabout" and "Speedway" has been made. The one thing holding back these releases is the source material, Sony do not have the session tapes and they have never been found in the film studio archives. As for a "Charro" CD with forty takes of that song, that won't happen. The song was recorded in just nine takes, all of which were merely vocal overdubs to a pre-recorded track.

Hi Bill, just another perspective on why FTD release many CDs, They (CDs) are getting less popular every day, so if they want to sell some, they have to hurry. Also many fans are anoyed that bootleegers put out the outtakes and concerts first, so maybe this is another reason. And as far as I know, then the Stat away Joe FTD has been one of the really popular releases (it is sold out in the Danish fan shop ).

I hope nobody took my content wrong because I love theses CDs but obviously cannot afford to buy them all. I do collect the movie soundtracks for the packaging

I have a question? Does anybody know how many copies they produce for the FTD releases and which one have sold the best and which one have not done so good?

Not sure, but i do know they keep making them,in other words they dont just have one print of each release. These are not really limited as much as you think, which was suppose to be the idea of what ftd was all about.
