From Richmond To Greensboro

May 17, 2013 | Music

The second release from the NEW Rock Legends label will be '' From Richmond To Greensboro ''. Those two shows were released several years ago in wonderful sound quality but are now hard-to-find , especially the Richmond one. The sound of the Greensboro concert is the same as originally released on Madison, however we found a better source for the Richmond gig that sounds much better now, smoother with a wider dynamic range.

This is two shows from a GREAT tour presented in a beautiful full color digipak with photographs from both performances. It will be available soon so if you missed either one of them, this is your chance to own them. This new double set will be a very limited edition.

Watch out VERY soon for '' Mood Swings '' on Rock Legends featuring the infamous Closing show of September 2, 1974 recorded from the soundboard in Las Vegas, NV. The sound quality will be a major improvement over the first issue. Another high quality digipak double set coming from Rock Legends you won't want to miss!

If this is the second Rock Legends release, what was the first one? I've got a few RL discs from years ago, are these new ones connected in any way?

Las Vegas March 75 Happening. I think it's the same old bootleg label. But quality releases, especially the old ones! Remember sold out in Dixie and hello Memphis?

With all these re-re-releases can somebody point me to the last real new Studio- or Soundboard CD? There are dozens of CDs quarterly but I can't remember any real new material. Even "Strictly Country Vol. 2" or other highlights are suspicious as no collector can exactly name any real new tracks. DVDs like "He Didn't Come Back" announced 100 min. of new outtakes. I haven't found one second. It's all old stuff. But nobody mentions it. Everybody here is eating the same cake again and again. The producers cash in again and again. I know these Sci-Fi movies where there are only remote-controlled humans with only a handful of 'thinking' people. And sometimes I feel like these films are already reality in the Elvis world.

If the Madison sets are on your shelf, you need to seek out this set.

I think re releases are great for all of us newer boots collectors, and especially when they have better packing and/or sound than older versions, but I can easily understand the older collectors. But then you (boxcar) must be excited about the newly announced FTDs, I know that I am. TCB

Thanks Orion for your valuable comments man. All fans ought to have this one in their collection you said. Well, I'll take your word for it and go and buy it...But please do not disappoint me ! Wonder if they sell Graceland if they would then go to another music company and let them produce/release those lost concerts, shows that bootleggers still have in their vaults....That would be great !! Also, then the new owners of Graceland could then buy up all rights of his movies; incl. EonTopur '72 and turn those 200 hours of shot MGM footage into a reasonably long, very long documentary that could become a huge seller to fans (who have been longing for ages to see all the footage of Elvis on stage and off, during all of those concerts on the road as well as unedited, unseen before footage of his Vegas 1972 season). Now thàt would be a major plus for the fans who are craving to see such material !! Any wealthy Indian(Bollywood) or Sheik who's interested to buy Graceland for US$600 million plus all the materials that come with it (and could be smartly marketed with lots of profits for such investors) ...! Await smart fans' opinions !
