Freek De Jonge About Elvis

March 25, 2010 | People

The famous Dutch comedian/singer Freek de Jonge just released a new album. He was asked to talk about his musical influences: 'I'm from the happy generation that witnessed the birth of Rock and Roll. I was about 12 years old when Elvis released his first records. Those influences never left...that are my roots'.

Nobody seems to know the name Freek de Jonge. I do ofcourse for I am dutch. He was my hero in the past, but nowadays...mmmmm... he has become a too much philosophic figure for me I guess. Maybe I don't understand him anymore. once he was a left-wing politic guy, but now, I don't know. creepy...
