Flyer CBS Miniseries

If EPE cared about Elvis's image, they would not have sanctioned this new line of pet accessories. I just read the item about this new venture in the news section and I am so dismayed. Pet accessories with the theme of a great and enduring artist. Ugh. Elvis was so brave to go on stage knowing full well that he was not in top form. I think that the CBS special stands as a testament to his character; he fulfilled his commitment and did his best, knowing people would be critical, still giving it his all. It could not have been easy for him, but he did it. I love him. God bless him.

Chris, it's EPE, not CBS, that are holding back the release of Elvis in Concert on the grounds of the impact on Elvis' image. I agree it should be released, perhaps on FTD rather than general release.

It's always nice to see a new production of the life and times of the king sees daylight. Although it has all been told and seen before a thousand times, as long as it is Elvis, we do not complain. I look forward to it. My point is the company that produces the whole series. CBS... Isn't that the same broadcast company that keeps a legal release of 'Elvis in concert 1977' away from the fans for a very very long time. And keeps giving us sorry excuses to release this show. (because elvis looked to ill at the time, it wouldn't sell at this time and it would demolish the good view people have from Elvis) Yeah right. My opinion is that if this show will be released it will sell huge. Because an awfull lot of people want to have it. So.. do the same as has happened with the new Aloha and '68 special. Take all there is filmed of this last tour and release it on 1 or 2 DVD's. Chris (tilburg) Netherlands

This should be so cool. Please just have the guy that plays Elvis actually look like him. They must have the technologie to make his face look more like Elvis. it will be much much better using Elvis real voice in the songs and not a impersonator.

I would like to hear more about this Elvis CBS Mini Series. I really like the minii series they had 10 years ago. although it seemed to take forever just to go from 1954 to 1955. I was so unhappy when they took it off the air. I even taped about 10 shows and watched them for awhile. but this one if its good. could make alot of new Elvis fans. especially with them using Elvis real voice. I see from the Flyer that is shows a 1957 Elvis and I see a 1972 Elvis. its probably going to cover those times. from 1955 or 1956 -1972 or 1973. I would suggest ending it in 1975 with Elvis being interviewed at the Liberty Bowl. we have the audio of it. so they could still use Elvis real voice. and this really happened. Ive never seen it in any documentary. so it would be a first. I hear the same people ask for the CBS TV special so much. sorry. but they are saving that one for last. we wont get that one for years still. In the Elvis world. we get big new things every 5 years. and with the 68 and New Alohas coming out. I doubt we will get anything new after this for at least 3 years. and if we are lucky it will be the Elvis On Tour Special Edition. I know we filmed a bunch of shows. why not just take one of the shows and make another concert like the ALoha show. starting from begginning to end. with just one show. anyway. thats my two cents worth.
