The 3DVD boxset, "Elvis - The King - Films That Rock" featuring Love Me Tender, Wild In The Country and Flaming Star will re re-issued by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment in Australia August 10, 2005 at a reduced recommended retail price of A$44.95.

It just goes to show that the people who design these sets have no idea about Elvis. Of all the films Elvis starred in, these three most definitely did not "rock", music being the secondary motive for these productions. Mind you, "Elvis - The King - Films that are quite good actually" doesn't make a good title for a box set either, but at least it's accurate.

I think it's not a reference to the musical content of the films, but the films themselves...you've got to admit that these three movies were way better than your standard Elvis movie fare, and therefore they do kinda rock in comparison.

These were the only three films produced by 20th Century Fox studios - so you cannot expect them to release any Elvis films that "rock" - those belong to Paramount / MGM/UA/ Turner/ Warner or others. I do wish though that they would try and locate some of the songs/ scences cut from the films, or atleast confirm that it simply does not exist in their vaults.
