The Elvis Presley Fanclub of Oklahoma will have a mini convention on February 4th. There will be a show by Dave Ehlert (from Branson) who has a top rated tribute Elvis show, according to the fanclub. The convention will be closed by an Elvis party. The convention will benefit charity.
The annual "Elvis Friends Palm Springs Weekend" (previously known as the Honeymoon Weekend) will be held in June this year. The fanclub, Elvis Friends Hollywood, can use one of Elvis' houses as part of their event for year 2000. The Chino Canyon home that Elvis owned at the time of his death will be visited this time.
Daniel Young will be entertaining again this year. The special guests are Richard Davis, Larry Geller, Marian Cocke, Patsy Anderson, Darwin Lamm, Ed Bonja. Others might follow, but are not confirmed yet. The Event weekend is June 9, 10, 11. Friday the 9th is an unofficial get-together for those who are in town on Friday but the official event will take place on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th. As always Elvis Friends Hollywood will donate the revenues of the weekend to charity.
