Wiat i Have This One Only Its Called Burning In Birmingham Hmm Interesting

burning in birmingham doesn't feature the 2001 opening theme, but the upcoming "high voltage - birmingham revisited" does...
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on January 14, 2008
Does it matter?
wayup wrote on January 14, 2008
Mature: not really. It is the improved stereo sound of HIGH VOLTAGE taken from original source what counts. Not cheap copy of Burning In Birmingham with Also Sprach Zarathustra added from another show.
Herbi wrote on January 15, 2008
...the sound on "F1rst Time In Birmingham" is better as the sound on the import CD "Burning in Birmingham" !! (digitally remastered !!!) sorry for my english !!
FLY-TROUBLE! wrote on January 15, 2008
It's crap. I have this release and the sound quality is not better. Contains bits and pieces from several shows. Wait for High Voltage. It will be out within days.
Herbi wrote on January 15, 2008
...sorry FLY-TROUBLE! that's not correct !! ...the sound is really better on "F1rst Time In Birmingham" !!
wayup wrote on January 15, 2008
Herbi: it is not. Stolen from BURNING IN BIRMINGHAM. I got a copy of this blueboard sh*t already few days ago. Some parts added from others show. In other words, thieve J.B. from your Nachrichten ring is striking again. Good luck.... if you are satisfied with his crap.
Rev. Gerhard wrote on January 16, 2008
I don't think that this is crap neither sh*t. Because you can hear a fantastic concert and it would give you creeps if you could listen to it without all those business thinking. And don't forget. These German fans give it their blueboard-users for free. Okay. If Elvis would have donated me a cadillac my joy would have been a little larger. So fans are keeping on making their friends happy. What a shame blaming this.
FLY-TROUBLE! wrote on January 16, 2008
Elvis didn't steal the Cadillacs he gave to his friends. He bought them.
wayup wrote on January 16, 2008
Gerhard, think about it. Why this crap CD is released the same month as the PROPER STEREO version with sound restored, HIGH VOLTAGE? Why your blueboard friend did it even if HIGH VOLTAGE was announced for a long time? Why he is coming with stolen things only and not investing money into something new? And speaking about "without all those business thinking" .... ask Ernst, if he will give all your blueboard members his FTDs for free, OK? It is not shame to blame JB for this because he he is destroying import market which is dying anyway. In very few months there will be no quality labels simply because they must pay big money for their new stuff and if it is imediatelly stolen-copied-sold for 5 EUR or given for free by some idiot, it makes no sense to continue. If it makes you happy I feel sorry. I am not happy with this.
Lex wrote on January 16, 2008
Imbeciles like these "producers" belong in the same row as remixers and imposters... Thanks for doing what FTD couldn't do... killing the quality labels! Oh, for those imbeciles: this was meant sarcastic.
Rev. Gerhard wrote on January 16, 2008
The market is dying anyway ? This rumor we hear for donkey's years. Does it harm Elvis? I don't think so. But I think that not later next year Ernst will have this giant concert in his FTD collection, although it's worth to be published as an official Sony/bmg thing. FTD is not always exactly brillant. And of course they could give one or the other thing for free, especially to those, who have already spent some thousands of dollars for Ernst's products, which are not always developed with that love, as seemingly this blueboard CD. If someone intends to discover an accidental competition, it should not have a bad effect onto the following quality. And of course it will be not unusal anymore, when we, the fans, have five or six versions of the same concert in our bedroom. It's not the worst thing to have a good sleep.

Finally I received the original copy of First time in Birmingham. I payed 5.50 euro for it nothing to complain about, but to pay full price now after listen to it I wouldn't. I would have keep to my old titel. I have the old original titel Burning in Birgmingham released by (2001) sense before. Comparing those two with each other I can say that the sound is a bit better then the old one, but it's not as good as I wanted it to be. Maybe audionics/2001 has better sound equipment to do this show more improved? And if they will release it now?
Rev. Gerhard wrote on January 16, 2008
If I would have known how great this concert was, of course I would have paid a full price. But it's for free. Except the postage and packing. How wonderful! Nice to read that the sound is a bit better than the old one. Would be great if other editions even could be better shortly or in future.

elvis sweden: 1st of all HIGH VOLTAGE is stereo and as complete as possible. Pls restored in studio. Unlike this 1st Time In Birmingham crap. Gerhard: stolen crap will always be stolen crap no matter if you are getting it for $$$ or for free. I am waiting for proper release - which is coming any day now, as 'they' told me...
elvis sweden wrote on January 16, 2008
Okay wayup, but it's in true stereo. If I didn't remember wrong I read that it was mixed down into stereo? Is that true stereo?Anyhow I going to buy that one as well. Then I can compare and judge them my self which one is the best of them.Probably I quess as you Audionics/2001 will be the best one. And I think also that it will be more worth as a collectible item to us collectors in the future. I have all the other originals from audionics in stunning superb sound.
Rev. Gerhard wrote on January 16, 2008
Of course it's stereo. Wonderful sound. But I do not believe, that the thing from Audionics/2001 will be worse. It's wonderful, that different people have the opportunity to show the world how great the King was. The fairy tale of 'stolen crap' will stay a fairy tale, no matter if you get for your products a substantial amount.

Sorry Gerhard, change your ears. F1rst Time In Birmingham is mono taken from old BIB CD. Elvis sweden: for HIGH VOLTAGE the binaural master was used and mixed into stereo image. I got the samples.... so I know.
Rev. Gerhard wrote on January 16, 2008
oh my gosh. I hope having guarantee on my ears and am able to change them in the store. :-**
elvis sweden wrote on January 16, 2008
you are right there wayup.F1rst time in birmingham is in mono. That is what i can read in the booklet on site 7.

Elvis sweden, why couldn't you wait for the stereo High Voltage? Why did you buy this cheap German crap? It was completely unnecessary. If you support these trash-labels,you will weaken the quality ones. Please compare what we have got from 2001/Audionics and what we've got from Forum Records. From 2001/Audionics we've got new, unreleased soundboards, great releases like Burning In Birmingham,Opening Night '72,Snowbird,Across The Country vol. 1-2,El Goes El Paso,Keep The Fire Burning,Adios Huntsville etc. For comparison, what we've got from this Forum sh*t Records? 2 well-known shows, both were stolen from great labels (Fort Baxter and 2001). Their first release (Rockin' The Blue Board, Vol. 1) looks like crap - which isn't surprising, because that's a crap after all... Just like this new one. Cheap crap for idiots, who want to destroy the quality labels and not wish to receive new soundboards in the future.
Rev. Gerhard wrote on January 17, 2008
Fly-Trouble, obiously you try to show that 2001/Audionics is well represented by bad language. Sincere condolences. No one will or wants to destroy the 'quality' labels. You know, and you know it very well, just a handful of all Elvisfans will get the forum-CD. The great mass will buy the usual labels. You even know, that a lot of collectors will get both labels and enjoy the possibilty of comparison. You know that a Forum-CD like this is not in a real rivalry to the other labels. It's a present to the forum-friends. What you are doing here is nothing else than a bad try in running down some people of the blue forum you don't like. That's the point and not the CD itself. (The verbalization "new soundboards" is too funny.)
FLY-TROUBLE! wrote on January 17, 2008
Unfortunately i'm not in connection with the 2001/Audionics labels, but i would happily support them for nothing. At least they give us unreleased material and nice booklets, unlike Forum Records.
Rev. Gerhard wrote on January 17, 2008
oh man. I'm just listening to that CD. It's so breathtaking how Elvis makes the very most of each song. Seemingly without special efforts. And this only eight months before his passaway. Even in 50 years the fans will listen to that concert and will be enraptured so very much. But then they will not use CDs, but chips, I suppose. But that's not important. The only thing that is important is, that the King rules from generation to generation.
