Estelle Brown: Hurt, But Strong

January 13, 2005 | People
Not-so-good news from Chicago. Estelle Brown (Sweet Inspirations) fell from her chair during a concert last week. She broke her arm, but felt strong enough to continue the show. By now, she’s home, resting and waiting until her arm is healed.

Between 1969 and 1977 the Sweet Inspirations were the female backing vocal group of Elvis. Estelle nor Myrna Smith missed one show with Elvis. We hope that she get well enough by the time Elvis The Concert comes to Europe.

I found this headline interesting. I just saw Estelle Brown perform an January 9th in Cleveland, Ohio for the Elvis Birthday Tribute Tour. She was there in full force and sounded great, and she had a sling on her left arm. I was wondering what happened to her. DJ Fontana was also present and was great to see. Get well soon Estelle, we love you.

Let's hope she makes a quick recovery. We had the Sweets at Elvis week at Hemsby (UK) last September and you couldn't wish to meet a nicer group of ladies. Estelle was so pleasant to the fans, and all the girls chatted to the fans even when they'd just arrived from the states and were really tired. We can't afford for genuine, good people from the Elvis world to get damaged! Get well soon Estelle, and see you in September for Elvis week at Hemsby.

Dear Estelle...I hope you get your health as soon as possible and return to your magnificent joyful life...You're in all Elvis fans' heart and a unique person. When I met you in 2000 at Wembley Hotel you had treated me so good and told jokes when I said I came from Turkey just for the concert... Best wishes to you and your family... Take care please! With love from Can;TURKEY...
