March 01, 2007 | Music
According to an update on Elvis Matters "the powers that be" at SONY / BMG decided not to release any low budget release in 2007 and focus completely on full priced CD’s only. After the re-issue of "Elvis Ultimate Gospel" is the CD “Essential Elvis”, with a compilation of Elvis’s best selling hits.

Thank the Lord that BMG has seen the light ! No more budget camden releases. Now that is, for once, a good decision, marketing wise. But there are many more decisions to be taken for great-selling new releases for both the general public and for fans in 2007!!!!

Anton: It doesn't say NO MORE. It says no more in 2007. Is that good? It depends on what the full price releases turn out to be. I'm betting there will be more budget releases in 2008. Personally, I didn't buy "Essential Elvis." Don't need it. Also, don't need the re-release of "Ultimate Gospel". Even if it does have a slightly different tracklist.
