Ernst Jorgensen On EU Sun Project

March 18, 2005 | Music
The news on the EU Sun Box (see previous news below) mentioned that the FTD project would concentrate mainly on the year 1955. Therefore the FECC webmasters asked Ernst Jorgensen if was aware of this project. Here is his reaction:

"I have known for quite some time that Joseph is working on a Sun project, and we have had conversations about it, but apart from his stamper single I have no idea what his materials are. The "news" on the board reveals nothing, but obviously sounds exciting. I'm not an expert on the legal issues, but I assume that Joseph has done his home work. Although I am producing a project on the same subject (Elvis in 1953-55), I'm just as much of a fan as the rest of you, and welcome any unpublished material. I see that Joseph has a list of great people helping - several of these people are also helping me, and one of the greatest things for me in this project is that so many people have decided to share their knowledge and materials - it seems that everybody realises that it's time to forget about personal agendas, and help create the historical document about these early times - we will all benefit from this."

I will surely buy the release from Joseph. Sounds really good, only for the booklet in 100 pages format, it´s great. I think this release will not batteling against Ernsts release. Both are things I can´t wait to get. TCB.

I think I'll end up buying it too, but somehow the colored shot shown elsewhere isn't my piece of cake. It just doesn't feel right. But hey, I think the same about the colorized versions of Love Me Tender and Jailhouse Rock.

Ernst, I don't know you, but your reaction here shows - once again - that despite all the critic from outside (us fans) and the difficulties inside (royalties, managers, co-workers, money,...) you are indeed a nobel man.
