Elvis’s Movie Girls Visit Europe

April 10, 2005 | People
Busy times for some of Elvis Presley’s movie co-stars. Stella Stevens (real name Estelle Eggleston, born 1936) is coming to an autograph fair in London next October. Stella, who lives in Hollywood, joined Elvis on the set of Girls! Girls! Girls! Nancy Sinatra (Speedway), will be the leading lady of the Motel Mozaique concert in Rotterdam, Holland on April 16th. Nancy performs with her live band and has accepted the show to promote her new CD.

is it? if i'm not mistaken hasn't stella said some pretty bad things about elvis? and i've never actually heard what it was about elvis that offended her.

yep she did, she said She didnt enjoy working on 'Girls Girls Girls' and that Elvis wasnt very courteous towards her.. Lauren Goodwin who was also in the picture said Elvis always treated her with respect and was very surprised at her comments ...

Yeah Stella Stevens has said some negative comments about Elvis. My guess is that Elvis gave her a knockback haha.

As I understand it, Stella Stevens hated the script, hated her part, had to pretty much be forced to do the movie, and has never watched it. And who can blame her - Elvis pretty much dumps her character soon after the start of the picture. Despite the billing, Laurel Goodwin is clearly the leading lady in "Girls! Girls! Girls!" while all Stella gets to do is appear a couple times and gripe, gripe, gripe (and lip-synch to a couple of songs). Not a dream role, I'm sure. Her past comments about Elvis showing up drunk for his scenes and being "unprofessional" sound a bit... strange, though. I would imagine they stem more from her disappointment with the movie itself than from anything Elvis actually did. What I really want to know is when Laurel Goodwin's coming to Europe. She's the one whose autograph I'd want. :-)

Stella Stevens made some very rude and critical comments about EP, so why participate in anything having to do with him? Ah, money, maybe? And Nancy Sinatra - yuck! This woman has never been able to do anything on her own - talentless, she rides the coattails of her father and gains a little fame anytime she can from her brief association with EP.
