It took eight years, but today, November 21 2007 we posted the 10,000th news update on ElvisNews.com. Who said Elvis was dead? :-)
The first update was posted on-line near the end of the last century on August 30, 1999:
“Earth - August 30, 1999. This Monday is an important day for all Elvis-fans on the Internet. It is the day that a new site was started, including a newsletter to keep all Elvis-fans informed on anything that is going on in the Elvis-world. The chief editor promises to make this magazine a must for every Elvis-fan. Besides the news there will be regulars like "site of the week", reviews of CDs, movies, concerts and so on. He also stated that any help will be appreciated. Any contributions can be sent to us by a special form. It would be nice when this magazine is carried by a lot of fans.
Let's hope this zillionth Elvis-website will add something extra and will be a huge success. We'll try to be the main newsletter without pushing others aside. In stead of that, we hope to stimulate other websites, by providing links to whatever source we have.”

got my first computer in 2003, was told about this site by a friend of mine and i've been coming here ever since, the BEST ELVIS website there is and will only get better. thanks for all your hard work you do to keep all us ELVIS people in the know.

Earth - November 22nd: Congratulations are in order here, for the #1 ElvisNews Website in the World! It's become daily routine for me, and I'm happy to say that I was one of the first to discover this site -- in fact, I still have all the prints I made from way back in 1999... I stopped printing though. And apart from the up to date news & well balanced reviews, the people behind this site are truly princes among men - so thumbs up for this new & remarkable milestone in the history of ElvisNews.com.

Although I only became a member in 2004, when I had my first PC and had access to the internet, I too visit this fantastic site multiple times a day to check out the latest news. I'm sure I won't be here by that time but here's to the millionth news update! Congratulations. May the force of E be with you!

ElvisNews shines like a beacon on the internet. Many, Many congratulations and a hearty thanks from me to all concerned. This site maintains it's brilliance by still allowing us fans an open platform to say what we pretty much want to without the need for the censorship which other sites seem all too ready to apply. The whole balance of this site is just so right, from layout to content, and no bitching about other sites either. It does exactly what it says on the tin. I love it here! Of course, this is the only place that would put up with my constant moaning, so 10 out of 10 for endurance as well.

for me , this is the #1 place for elvis news and truth. (the good, bad and ugly!) there is so much i wouldn't know but for this website. i got involved with the elvis world on the internet in 1998. i do believe i started visiting here at that time. like i always say, for a dead man, elvis is sure hard to keep up with! but elvisnews does a lot of it for me. thank you very much from las vegas - where elvis still rocks!
