Elvisfans Help Victims In Asia

The United Elvis Presley Society of Belgium, active in the Elvis World since 1961, will hold a massive collection during their Gospel Concert in two Belgian churches on Saturday and at the after party in Hotel Beveren and Nivelles.

When the amount of the collection is known, The United Elvis Presley Society will donate the very same amount of money to the victims of the Asian disaster.

Hubert Vindevogel, President of the Society since 1961 urges other Elvis Presley fan clubs in the world to be active in the very same way. Elvis himself gave hundred thousands of dollars to welfare foundations during his life and that should remain intact between Elvisfans in the world in Elvis’ name and honour.

During the upcoming Elvis Birthday Celebration in Memphis, Graceland will provide additional opportunities for visiting fans to donate funds to support these efforts. On the Elvis.com site you can find a lot of links to charities.

What a Great idea, Doctor. I was thinking the same thing. Elvis would have done just that! If (Sony BMG), would Release the 'IF I can Dream Single', and give all donations to the relief effort, it would serve everyone involved. Better yet, release the new Single video of Elvis doing that song in leather, and watch the world come together through this horrific disaster. Spread the word.

I would like to see Sony/BMG/RCA release a special Elvis compilation CD, with all proceeds going to the UNICEF Tsunami Relief Fun. It would be a great gesture, would honour the memory of Elvis' generosity during his lifetime, and If all fans got behind it, would raise a great amount of money. The Record Label has made enough money over the years, they can certainly afford this kind of gesture. What about it, Ernst? It's time for a little less conversation and a little more action, please. How about putting in the last two remixes and adding a couple of new ones?
