Would this make the long overdue FTD Sun Box redundant?!

Answer to EJF: I don't think so. My guess is that FTD has been making it harder for the bootlegers to sell as many copies nowadays, that they have to change their strategy. We have lately seen more exclusive bootlegs on the market, as well as this "Elvis" SUN release, which only purpose is to come out with something before FTD's long awaited SUN box (is it truly a box?) is released. More interesting question would be: What's the track list on the CD? What does the book contain? I hardy believe it has any unreleased material or unknown information.

The choice of SUN recordings for the CD is obvious, the copywrite in Europe has expired! I do not think the book is about the SUN period, the picture certainly isn't! If it is a good book or not we cannot judge given the limited information available. But I am sure it is not intended to compete with the SUN FTD release. This project has gone quite recently, does anyone know when it might be released? I have a feeling it will be the last FTD, to come in a year or two from now…

Guys, this is NO WAY a threat to the fabled-might be-could be-one day FTD SUN BOX??? Sun material has been available on (PD) cd's for some time so what we have here is simply a book with probably the usual photo's with the usual Sun tacks and nothing else?? if my memory serves me right there are still some issues with FTD and MRS and who owns what etc.. let's hope it gets settled soon and we can all enjoy the 'Sun Box' ,whoever brings it out.

Look at the artwork! No one can tip this!..

Take it is easy guys. I was only being sarcastic. I'm sure this release will not take the edge over the FTD release, when it finally sees the light of day. My guess is the above release is mainly a book with a 'free CD' containing the usual (albeit excellent) out-of-copyright songs.
