Elvis Theme Resort In Las Vegas?

July 24, 2007 | Other
Rumours are spread that there are plans to build a complete new resort in Las Vegas, completely Elvis themed. It is a fact that a 38-acre property, just across the Mandalay Bay resort, is recently bought by FX Luxury, a company that is affiliated with Elvis-owner CFX. Although the rumours are not confirmed, a spokesman for FX Luxury says: "Elvis was the embodiment of Las Vegas and, in all surveys, is the entertainer most associated with Las Vegas."

This is long overdue. Elvis was......Las Vegas. I would love to travel from London and stay in a completely Elvis-themed hotel/casino. Why would I want to stay anywhere else? I hope this becomes a reality.

Across from Mandalay Bay is the worst place on the strip, its way off the and at the end of the strip, no walking type area wide open and extremly hot. I hope whoever does this is prepared to take a heavy Loss. Elvis is dead and no theme is going to bring him back to sell out to a Full House.

The site for this resort is in a prime location on the Vegas Strip. Elvis was King of Vegas and will continue to be with all the hard work being put into such projects as this. Mark my words - this will be a major success story for the Elvis Legacy.

straight out of vegas: I live here and i live near that proposed location. it is a good location. lots of open space which some hotels cannot claim. that end of the strip is going to be beautifully landscaped, we realize tourists walk there. items are planned but it takes time and lots of funds. and it is growing with other tourist and local points of interest ... the southern corridor of las vegas blvd is exploding with construction for gaming and residences. (there is no other place to go :) as for HOT, geez, it's hot here in the summer, naturally. we can hit freezing in the winter. have you been here in February? so why not come during the non-summer months? vegas is not hot 100% all of the time. get real. vegas loves elvis, there is always a show with him being paid tribute and the tourists flock to those and enjoy them. gaming and visiting is way up in vegas. we have recovered from 9-11. as it is, i know of things being planned for aug 16. (ETA shows) i am glad to see that! i think it's great for vegas to have this. in some way, we have adopted him as hawaii has adopted him, too. i am positive this will be a winning idea!
