Elvis Platinum In The UK

July 16, 2004 | Video
Not only has the "68 Comeback Special" been announced as the biggest selling week 1 music DVD since Robbie Williams' "What We Did Last Summer", but it has also gone Platinum in the UK with revenue in excess of £1,000,000.

A huge thanks all round for everyone's efforts, 50,000 units so far and climbing.

Not amazing at all. This DVD brings something new, while most people have "That's All Right" on various releases. Besides the handfull of collectors there are less people interested in that... okay, and some fools that buy more copies just to get it charted ;-)

Thanks Todd for the great news. Isn't it amazing how we can sell 50,000 DVDs in the UK but could only manage 14,000 or so copies of That's All Right ?!?.

I think you'll find they are fans and not fools !

What happened about the television promotion in the UK?
andrewmartinbarber wrote on July 16, 2004
has Elvis had any other number 1's on this chart? is there a book of this chart like the guiness book of british hit singles and albums?

Fantastic news the 68 special going platinum. Many thanks Todd for letting us all know. What did happen to the tv promotion here in the uk ? I was thinking the same thing as you Abidaslam. Did anyone see Top of the pops on friday ? What a disgrace they did not even put Elvis on. They should change the title of it and call it Top of the crap !
