Warner Australia announced the release of "Elvis On Tour" in both the PAL Format DVD and Blu-ray for the first time on September 29. Both releases include a collectible booklet, featuring photos of Elvis, quotes, trivia, a tour itinerary, set lists, costumes, and background information about the filming techniques used. This booklet is the same as used in the USA only deluxe blu-ray set, only scaled down in size slightly.
Hopefully a European PAL release will follow shortly, although Amazon still have no details of one. Perhaps the delay is caused by copyright problems, we had a wait a while for R2 versions of "Follow That Dream" and "It Happened At The World's Fair". If there are such problems, I wish Warners would keep us informed.
tony, a European PAl R2 version has been out for several weeks. It's an official Warner Bros release from their Netherlands/Benelux division. At least two UK fan organisations are selling it...but shop around for the best price (one is way more expensive as usual). [An "Essential" purchase, would be my recommendation.]
Thanks for that info, I have found the one I suspected would be cheapest. I try to make as many "essential" purchases as possible.
I got mine the day it came out on 13th August...I had it on preorder since June....it fantastic but the cover is a bit dodgy to say the least...they could have used a better picture.
