Elvis Mix(ers) Nominated For Dance Award

This year's DanceStar USA 2004 awards nominations have been announced. The awards show will be taped on Miami's South Beach on Tuesday, March 9th at 6:00 PM Eastern. Later, it will air in over 50 countries (a U.S. cable broadcaster to be announced shortly).

Paul Oakenfold's remix of the Elvis Presley recording Rubberneckin is nominated for Best Remix. Paul Oakenfold is nominated for "Best International DJ (non US)". His "Great Wall" compilation was nominated for "Best Compilation (US releases)".

JXL's smash '02 remix of Elvis's recording of "A Little Less Conversation" was used to great effect in NBC's hit show Las Vegas, garnering a nomination Best Use of Music in a TV Show.

Jason Nevins who also did a remix for "Rubberneckin'" (the downloadable version) was nominated for "The Remix Hotel Award For best Producer (U.S. Producer)". His own single "I'm In Heaven" is nominated for "Best Single (worldwide artists)" and his mix for the N.E.R.D. song "Rockstar" is nominated for "The Best Use Of Music In A TV Commercial (US commercials)"
