Elvis Mail Service To Be Discontinued

October 11, 2006 | Other
Update from EPE on the Elvis mail service.

To Elvis.com Email Subscribers:

In reviewing and evaluating the Elvis.com Email system, we have decided to discontinue the service as part of refocusing our efforts to better serve Elvis fans online in many other ways as we develop new features for Elvis.com. Aristotle has administered the Elvis.com Email service via a license from EPE.

As of October 20, 2006, the service will cease taking new subscription accounts. However, the service should remain fully functional for all currently active subscriptions until their contracted expiration date.

Also, as of October 20, 2006, yearly renewals will no longer be available, however, to allow ample time for subscribers to choose a new email service, yearly renewing accounts that come up for renewal between October 20 and December 31, 2006 will be automatically converted to a monthly account and renewed as such. Monthly renewing accounts will remain available until December 31, 2006. You may renew via the usual process when you receive from Aristotle the usual notice of the approaching expiration date of your account. After December 31, 2006, the service will not process any more month-to-month renewals.

Comments about the decision to discontinue the Elvis.com Email service? Please do not contact Aristotle. Contact EPE at media@elvis.com. If the volume and variety of comments and inquiries warrants it, we will compose a special FAQ page to send out to subscribers. Otherwise, we will answer the individual messages as they come in.

Questions about, or the need for technical assistance with, the operation of your active Elvis.com Email account? For customer service inquiries or technical support while your account remains active, visit Aristotle's customer service page as usual for contact information: http://www.elvis-email.com/contact-us.asp.

We regret any inconvenience or disappointment the discontinuation of Elvis.com Email might bring to any of our subscribers. We and Aristotle thank you very much for your patronage of Elvis.com Email and hope you will continue to enjoy all the other services, information and special content we provide through Elvis.com and ElvisInsiders.com. EPE and Aristotle are hard at work to expand and enhance all aspects of these sites in greater service to Elvis fans everywhere, and we hope you will join us in looking toward an ever more exciting future.

Our thanks & best wishes,
Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.

Well... t's good for me. I haven't received a single message from this site for more than four years. And I am suscribed to the ElvisNews newsletter (I clicked on "I want to receive the newsletter...") since 2001 or 2002. Perhaps it's because my e-mail account is hotmail. Can it be because of that? Anyway, that's why this news doesn't affect me at all...

I'm surprised that this didn't happen long ago. I had an email account with the ending elvis.com - but I quickly turned to another email service, when EPE announced they were going to charge people - since there are lots of free email services around, I switched to another one, since the only reason I had an email account with EPE was to have the ending

Ouch! I've had an address at Elvis.com ever since I've been online....at least five years! I feel deserted!

I recently discontinued my elvis.com because of the poor service. It was a great novelty to have a cool address, but it wasn't worth paying for.
