The German television station RTL presented a list of Germany's best singers of the past 40 years compiled from chart positions since 1964. Usually Elvis is on top of a chart or listing, this time he is #100 on the Top 100 list.

It isn't a disgrace...this isn't a popularity poll. This is just based on German chart position post '64. Since most of Elvis' smash hits came before that, it isn't very surprising at all.

Elvis would be right there in the top ten if the poll went back 50 years instead of 40 years. How many people remember the riot when Elvis got off the ship in Germany back 1959? You have to realize that 75 percent of Elvis ' greatest hits were recorded prior to 1964.....
