Elvis In Hollywood At Madame Tussauds

October 18, 2012 | Other

Elvis Presley was sighted in Hollywood and the fans were there by the dozens to verify. While it wasn't the man in the flesh, it was his spitting image in wax at the Madame Tussauds on display Wednesday just feet away from the Hollywood & Highland Mall and Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Unveiling the latest look of the King of Rock and Roll, the signature song of Jailhouse Rock was blaring in the background as Madame Tussauds showed fans a 50's-era Elvis Presley wax figure. Looking just like the man in the photos, the details of the image were precise right down to the sideburns.

One of several statues expected to be part of the new collection at the Hollywood location, another famous character will be on display starting next week. E.T. will call Madame Tussauds home with an official unveiling on October 22.

This is the only wax figure Madame Tussauds made of ELVIS that actually looks like him.

Thankfully not the jumpsuited 70's version. That might have have given birth to another 1000 impersonators.

His face a little too fat for Jailhouse Rock and did he wear that suit and tie in Jailhouse Rock???

Yes, its a great tribute to Elvis, but I have to agree with Jerome, it looks more like Kurt Russell doing Elvis. Oh well, still nice.

All in all well done, but agree with Capt. about the plain white t-shirt. Could be corrected by Tussauds though. Always El.

It's a lot better than some of the early versions done back in the 50's & 60's in the U.K. & the U.S.A. They were horrible and didn't look anything like Elvis.

In reality, no likeness of "THE KING" can do him justice to the fans.

This is almost as good as the one Madame gave them in 1977 and ended up in the coffin. That one looked a lot like Elvis except for the pudgy nose .

Pasrorjoe If your comment is serious you should not be on this website as if you believe that was not elvis in 1977 you are not a Elvis Fan We fans knew it was Elvis and have mourned his loss Do not make fun of our loss also dont think its appropiate to make comments like that as Elvis Family glance at these pages how insulting to them
