AWESOME News!!! I always liked this album & have been looking forward to it being reissued. Nothing wrong with the original recordings but I like these overdubs as well. This is one of my favorite EP albums from the 1980s along with the "This Is Elvis" soundtrack & "Reconsider Baby" compilation. I'm just curious what the bonus tracks are. I hope the FTD label will eventually put this collection out on CD with bonus songs on disc like they did with "Too Much Monkey Business". Anyway, looking forward to this updated version of "I Was The One".

I totally agree with Dixieland Rock, they should release "This Is Elvis" soundtrack and "Reconsider Baby" on CD, with pristine pure 2008 sound. I'm a young fan and I only had months on 1983... what's the difference between the overdubs on FTD's "Too Much Monkey Business" ("Guitar Man" revamped) and "I Was The One"? Where they recorded in the same session? Is it as bad as "Guitar Man"?

Will this be released on LP or CD?

Jimmy it is not as bad as Guitar man, Elvis' originals are not totally screwed on this one, just some more accents on instruments. Still a total waste of money.

Never cared for this LP. It reminded me of the reprocessed stereo RCA tied to use on the mono recordings. Just some echo & accents on some instruments. Why would anyone choose to hear these songs this way?
