I thought that this movie was going to be a theater release. What happened? It's a little strange, that with such big names as Tom Hanks and Kiim Basenger that this is not going to be in the movie theaters.

Perhaps it is just as well. Its not going to do his image much good. I'm sick of these kind of films. The man needs to be treated with dignity and respect. However, nice people don't get that nowadays. Perhaps if he was Sid Vicious, James Brown, Jerry Lee Lewis he would but he never had a criminal record. If he was a nasty piece of works he would get artistic films made about him.

Many Elvis related movies are not going on general release in Cinemas. "3,OOO Miles to Greaceland", "The Last American Elvis", The Harvy Keitel - Elvis movie, Elvis -TTWII, Bo- Ho- Tep (whatever?) What is going on? It does seem very very strange indeed, considering all the success Elvis is getting in the charts? Anyone got an inside view?

Actually, Bubba-Ho-Tep did have a theatrical release and did quite well. It is just that if a movie is not a big blockbuster, it may have just limited theatrical releases before going to video. As for "Elvis Has Left the Building", maybe it just didn't turn out so well despite the all-star cast and the producers decided to go straight to video.
