Elvis' Former Audubon Drive Home To Be Auctioned

February 26, 2006 | Other
Elvis' former home at 1034 Audubon Drive in Memphis, now owned by Mike Freeman, will be auctioned on March 20, 2006. Fans have reported to Bill Burk's Elvis World that the house and property are badly in need of repairs and/or renovation.

The estimated price is 1 million dollar, but the reserve price is much lower. Interested buyers can place a bid as of March 20th. After that, the auction is open for 30 days. The best/highest bid is the winner, without conditions. This means that the new owner does not have to turn the house into an Elvis themed museum if he doesn’t want to.

To Mike and Cindy, Hope all goes well and that the 'correct' purchaser buys Audubon and it is saved for all to continue to see. It truly is a historic building. Carol and Colin

Have visited twice and it is very interesting. Hope another Elvis fan/EPE buy it.
