On April 29th 2002, artist Andy Smith opens his much anticipated art exhibit: "Elvis Ate America". The artist has been researching and working on this show for the past 3 years with the objective to show Elvis as a christ figure for American culture, and to reveal Elvis as the "everyman". Through over 50 paintings the artist has trasformed the traditional gallery space into a mecca of Elvis images. The show runs for one week at the Biola University art gallery- 13800 Biola Ave. La Mirada, CA 90639. The opening reception is from 6pm to 9pm on April 29th. All Elvis fans, and patrons of the arts are encouraged to come.
