Elvis' Death 5th Most Memorable Event On TV

Elvis' death has been voted by Australian television viewers as the 5th most memorable event on TV. Not surprisingly, man's first step on the Moon and 9-11 filled the top two positions respectively. The assassination of JFK was #3 and the death of Princess Diana #4. The Beatles stunning visit to Australia came in at #19. The list of the top 20 moments on TV were announced last night on the TV special, "TV Turns 50 - The Events That Stopped A Nation". The special included a tribute to Elvis by both Human Nature (Don't Be Cruel) and David Campbell (Viva Las Vegas/Suspicious Minds).
