I didn't really care for this book. Big goofy fonts and huge pictures of aftershave bottles and mailboxes. Still, I am sure the new cover will appeal to some folks.

the original book was very disappointing as was the cd. The dvd was ok.

This is one of the worst Elvis books ever published and certainy the most disappointing. Promising intimate revelations, he did nothing of the card, and ended up more as an advert for Graceland. I know it sold very well, making number one the sales lists in the UK but if you havent already bought it, don't bother....

I don't care too much for this cover either, I must admit. His face looks greenish, doesn't it? Also, remember that the Beaulieus & Lisa didn't know the 'fifties' Elvis, as he's portrayed in this picture. A seventies pic, or late 60'ies - when he was indeed a husband & father - would have been more appropriate. I know, I know: fans don't ever seem to be happy. We are, but sometimes we just have too high expectations. I couldn't agree more about the content: if you've seen the DVD, there's no need to read the book: same (old) stories, and useless close ups of LM's Mickey Mouse dinner plate (Christ!), Mountain Valley Water, a boot, ... Strange that it sold that much - the Power of Presley, Probably.
