They could and should be a lot more creative with their releases. It's the same old ideas, re-packaged and re-sold without any thought or consideration of making these great tracks more widely available and/or desirable to the general record buying public. Although, I would hardly call "Clambake" a great track. It's good, but not great.

its ironic that a few people are talking about the double features releases. i was listening to them today and i must agree with you all that they should remaster them and re-release them all and in order. it would be nice to see the progression of his voice from movie to movie. i didnt mind that they were separated though cuz no matter what the music is good . this cd release though i might buy it but i might not. it looks too familiar it looks like the command performnaces release from 1994 or whenever it was.

I liked the Double Features cds despite some of the flaws. Great bang for the buck. Imagine 2 soundtracks for 1/3 the price of an FD sondtrack! But I heard these were Elvis's worse selling CDs ever, so I dont think they will ever be reissued. As it is I only played some of them once to hear them. Will I ever have the urge to hear Clambake again? I doubt it. Loved some of the others though.

Hi GK - The only trouble with the 'double features' series is the sound quality on a number of the tracks - maybe if they remastered them all and released them in the right order (Kissin Cousins and Clambake just don't go together) then they might be worth a purchase. The majority will eventually be released thru the FTD label. I do much prefer another soundtrack re-issue rather than yet another 'love', 'gospel', 'country' or 'hits' collection. There are a lot of gems in those movies.

"RCA, has already released a few " best of " the movie soundtracks. Why would they release another one, when the song selection is basically the same?" Because of the quick bucks:)

RCA should just re-release the Movie soundtracks- in the "double Features" series at budget prices. Casual fans, watching an Elvis film, might, want more, than just a song, or two, from a particuliar movie. RCA, has already released a few " best of " the movie soundtracks. Why would they release another one, when the song selection is basically the same?

I miss some good moviesongs on this release which could be included. I'm not being negative, but Clambake?

Well, it's still looks like the same tracklisting as in the earlier "leaked" announcement. Wasn't going to buy it then, and I'm still not interested.

It's only possible with Elvis' releases. His own company don't want anybody to know that they will release new album. Great idea, maybe nobody will buy it, buhehehe. That's realy great strategy - well done BMG, I suggest to eare Elvis' name from CD, this way nobody will find it anywhere.
